Welcome to Windyheads Bothy – Your Perfect Getaway

Thank you for choosing Windyheads Bothy for your stay! Our check-in time starts from 5 pm onwards, and we would appreciate it if you could check-out by 10 am so that our cleaning crew can come in and get the Bothy ready for the next guests. We understand that sometimes things can be flexible, so please feel free to reach out to us with any special requests or requirements.

Our primary aim is to ensure that you have a fantastic stay with us, and we are here to help in any way we can. Please find below everything you need to know for your check-in. We will also call you on your day of arrival/check-in to make sure that everything goes smoothly and hand you over the keys.

We also offer a Personal Shopping Service, where our local team goes to the supermarket with your list and buys everything on it, delivering everything to the Bothy and even unpacking it for you. Please get in touch with us for more information. We typically require at least 24 hours of notice for this service.

Please report any damages or issues as soon as you can after check-in, and we will do our best to rectify the situation as soon as possible. We want to make sure that any issues do not affect the enjoyment of your stay.

The Windyheads Bothy is located at Windyheads Farm, New Pitsligo, and is tucked away at the end of a long private track. We have purposely excluded the postcode as it takes you to the neighboring farm down the road. If you use the name “Windyheads Cottage,” it’s easy to find it on Google maps. Alternatively, you can use the what3words app, and the coordinates for the front door are ///sweetly.various.myths.

We have a high-speed WIFI connection of 50Mbps, and the username and password are as follows:

All the radiators in the Bothy are pre-set, and the thermostat for the underfloor heating in the kitchen is mounted on the wall behind the door. The bathroom’s underfloor heating is controlled from the thermostat on the wall outside the bathroom.

After a long day of sightseeing, you can relax with your favorite television shows or music on Netflix, Prime, or Disney+. The TV has built-in apps, and you can use the Roku remote for other apps. The sound system, which is integrated with the TV, has its remote and can play CDs, Radio, and iPods you can also connect your phone to play music via the TV. You can enjoy the music as loud as you want since there are no neighbors to disturb.

We would like to bring to your attention the following house rules:

No pets allowed.
Please put rubbish in the correct bins.
No smoking inside the Bothy.
Check-out is at 10 am.

The nearest supermarket is Asda in Fraserburgh, which is a fifteen-minute drive from Windyheads Bothy. It is also right next to Home Bargains, which is an excellent option for BBQ and fire supplies.
